Vignerons

More and more growers are choosing to use their vineyards, sometimes family-owned for generations, to make their own wines, which are also called "vigneron" or "grower champagnes." The champagnes imported by l'Atelier du Champagne come from vignerons, families who often own several hectares of land and don't buy fruit from others.

Winemakers tend to favor dry champagnes made from grapes grown in specific vineyards; in the cellar, besides oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, there are often other tanks, such as a concrete egg, for fermenting and aging the wines.
