Les Frères Mignon
Their great grandfather produced champagne, but somewhere down the line the Mignon family had stopped doing so: the grapes from their vineyards were sold off to other producers. Until twentysomething brothers Florent en Julien chose a different path. With help from their father they arranged their cellars in such a way that their grapes could be produced into Mignon champagne. In 2019 their first wine entered the market, named after the big step they took together: l'Aventure (the adventure).
Located in Cramant, Côtes des Blancs, the brothers work chardonnay vineyards in Avize, Cramant and Cuis, pinot noir comes from Cumières, just north of Epernay. In their fields they are oriented towards sustainable farming, in cellar the brothers choose spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
