Lacourte Godbillon
Champagne Lacourte-Godbillon is located in the Montagne de Reims, in the village of Écueil.
The estate has 8 hectares of vineyards, all organic and biodynamic certified.
The work is done by the winemaking couple, Richard and Géraldine, and 3 other people, all of whom are very familiar with their vines.
Lacourte is the surname of Géraldine's father and Gobdillon of her mother. Her parents were winegrowers in the village of Écueil and each had their own domain, hence the idea to create a new joint. The domain developed with the help of the cooperative of Écueil .
The couple took over the domain in 2008 after a career in marketing for Géraldine and industrial sales for Richard. The year 2007 was devoted to viticultural and oenological studies.
In 2012 they left the cooperative to become completely independent. In 2017 they committed to organic viticulture, followed by biodynamic viticulture in 2022.
Richard and Géraldine do everything they can to develop biodiversity in their vineyards: sheep, green manuring, planting trees and hedges, installing nesting boxes, etc.
