Bollinger
Bollinger is one of the most prestigious and iconic champagne brands in Champagne. For more than two centuries, Bollinger has been synonymous with luxury and style.
The Champagne House Bollinger was founded in 1829 by Henri Bollinger. He was born into a family of wine growers in the village of Aÿ, in the Champagne region of France. Henri's grandfather, Nicolas Joseph Bollinger, was a prosperous farmer who owned vines in the vineyards around Aÿ. In 1750 he built a small winery on his estate where he made crops for his own use and to sell to his neighbors.
Bollinger champagnes are known for their characteristic yeasty, brioche bread-like flavor, which is the result of using a high percentage of Pinot Noir grapes in the blend.
