In no other wine region in France is it allowed to produce a rose by blending white and red wine. It is in Champagne. In this region there are several ways to make rose. One can add a little red to a white wine. Or one can chose the saignee method, in which blue grapes get some skin maceration. The skins will give off some color to the juice, which makes a pink wine.
