His ancestors were already cultivating grapes in Bouzy; his grandfather was the first, in 1950, to also start making his own wine. Georges' father had more passion for working in the vineyard and sold all the winemaking machinery in 1989.

After studying winemaking, Georges Remy worked for some time in Bordeaux and developed a great love for red wine there. Back in Champagne, he started producing still red wine, Bouzy Rouge, in 2011.

But not making bubbles in Champagne? Georges realized they couldn't be missing from his cellar. And so, the third-generation winemaker, through a detour, returned to his family's profession: since 2014, he has also been making champagne. Around Bouzy, in Montagne de Reims, Remy manages over four hectares of vineyard where Pinot Noir is the main grape, followed by Chardonnay.

Georges Remy produces layered, complex champagnes with robustness.
