Georges Remy
His ancestors grew grapes in Bouzy, his grandfather was the first to make his own wine, starting in 1950. After studying wine Georges Remy worked for some time in Bordeaux, where he developed a great affection for red wine. Returning to Champagne he started out making still red wines: Bouzy Rouge.
No bubbles? Remy realized they were being missed in his Champagne cellars. And so the third generation winemaker returned to his family's profession: since 2014 he has been making champagne as well. Nowadays the family owns over four hectares of vineyards around Bouzy, Montagne de Reims, where pinot noir is the number one grape.
Georges Remy makes fruity, complex champagnes with strength.
