About Étienne Calsac

Located in Avize, Etienne's estate primarily produces Chardonnay, but he also has a passion for the forgotten grape varieties of Champagne, such as Arbane and Petit-Meslier. His vineyards span the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, the Marne Valley, the Côte des Bar, and the Côte de Sézanne. His viticulture is sustainable and promotes biodiversity. The winemaking process uses indigenous yeasts, primarily in barrels, though some cuvées are also made in stainless steel.

In 2015, together with wine-growing friends, he founded the very dynamic collective “Des Pieds et des Vins” as part of the Printemps des Champagnes event.
