Pleasantly drinkable and complex at the same time: Grande Réserve is the figurehead of Dehours. Meunier is the most important grape and the champagne contains a large part of reserve wine from Jerôme Dehours' solera system.

That makes the champagne exciting and complex. An accessible, gastronomically usable champagne with freshness and earthy notes. Beautiful next to a starter with vegetables such as asparagus or parsnips.

Champagne house Dehours & fils can be found in Cerseuil (Mareuil-le-Port), a village on the south bank halfway through the Marne Valley that extends west of Épernay. Meunier is mainly planted in this valley: it is a late-flowering grape that is resistant to spring frost, which occurs regularly here. You can safely call fourth-generation winemaker Jerôme Dehours a 'master of meunier': about two-thirds of his plantings consist of meunier.

The domain's vineyards are spread over 42 plots between the villages of Mareuil-le-Port, Troissy and Oeuilly. With their mutual differences in soil type, altitude, age, sun exposure and grape variety, they form the richly varied basic material for Dehours champagnes.
