About Manon Boutillez-Guer

For generations, the Boutillez family has been making champagne in Villers-Marmery, a premier cru commune in Montagne de Reims. While Pinot Noir is the most important grape in the area, this commune is home to a lot of Chardonnay. Marc Boutillez is now at the head of the Boutillez-Guer estate. His daughter Manon is increasingly stepping out of his shadow. Trained as a nurse, she decided in 2019 to follow in her ancestors' footsteps. With success. During the tenth edition of the young talent competition Les Jeunes Talents du Champagne, in 2021, Manon Boutillez became a finalist in the Chardonnay category.

Under her own name she launches a number of promising champagnes with striking, colorful labels. Chardonnay is with eighty percent planting the most important grape in the more than five hectares of vineyard that the winemaker has at her disposal. The fields are worked organically.

The quality of Manon Boutillez's first champagnes bodes well for the future.
