About Cristal

Cristal Champagne was first bottled in 1876 for Alexander II at the court of the Tsar of Russia. Alexander was so fond of this champagne that he ordered entire cases. The champagne is produced by Louis Roederer in his prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, which cover over 240 hectares.

Cristal is produced only in good years, when the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have reached their perfect ripeness. The aging process adds even more complexity and depth to the flavor. Cristal is released to the market approximately one year after disgorging to continue aging.
