About Egly-Ouriet

When Francis Egly took over the family estate in 1980 at a very young age, he immediately opted for traditional, pesticide-free methods. Inspired by his travels to Burgundy, he switched to barrel aging and long cellar aging periods, making him one of the pioneers of the new wave of the 1990s. The estate covers over 12 hectares in the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, planted primarily with Pinot Noir, with a little Chardonnay and Meunier.

Some of the old vines are located in Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzy. Today, his two children are gradually taking over management of the estate.
