In the commune of Verzy, a grand cru on the Montagne de Reims, the Deville family has been cultivating vines for four generations.
Since 1963, the estate has been producing its own champagnes under the name Pierre Deville. Alban Corbeaux, the founder's great-grandchild, is now in charge.
In 2017, he began converting the five-hectare vineyard, planted with both pinot noir (60%) and chardonnay (40%), to organic and biodynamic methods. With his Copin cuvées, a blanc de noirs and a blanc de blancs, the young winemaker has made a name for himself in Champagne.
Since then, the range has been extended to include the basic cuvée ‘Primitif’, a rosé maceration and a 50/50 blend of pinot noir and chardonnay called ‘Les Copins’. These are champagnes with character, produced by a talented winemaker!
