The vineyards of Domaine Méa are located in the Montagne de Reims, in the south around the grand crus of Louvois and Bouzy and a little further north, Ludes and Montbré (premier cru).

Their estate covers around twenty plots and is mainly planted with Pinot Noir (70%), supplemented with Chardonnay (26%) and a small percentage of Meunier (4%). Guy Méa from Champagne expanded the family vineyard in the 1950s and passed the business on to his daughter Evelyne in the 1980s. Today, his granddaughter Sophie is at the helm. As a young girl, she described herself as follows: “I am going to be a Champagne winemaker”. She has been working in the family business since 2010 and will run it with her husband Franck Moussié, from Bordeaux, from 2019.

No pesticides are used in the vineyards and Domaine Méa has the ecological HVE certification. In addition to traditional champagnes with traditional labels, Domaine Méa also creates a range of champagnes that express an experimental taste and meet the preferences of the contemporary champagne lover: a dry style and the expression of a terroir.

News for Méa: vineyards have been acquired in the Marne Valley in the premiers crus Mareuil-sur-Ay and Hautvillers.
