Generations of grape growers within the family had already preceded him when, in 1945, René Brice launched a champagne estate in Bouzy bearing his name. From the 1990s onward, the family business grew to an annual production of around 100,000 bottles. At the same time, Brice made a name for himself with his still red wine: Bouzy Rouge. In addition to vineyards around Bouzy, the family also owns Pinot Noir and Chardonnay plots in the Aube, the southernmost region of Champagne.
